I have been knitting a beautiful red shawl but there is not enough of it to photograph really, so I’ll show you something that I made a few weeks ago.
Remember me chatting about my cardigan I was getting ready for York.
Well I knitted and I sewed until the small hours and finished it.

The pattern is from Little Red in the City by Ysolda and is called Lauriel.
The yarn is Rowan Pure Wool DK in Marine Blue.
The only changes I made to the pattern were to knit on 4mm needles rather than 3.75 which was knitting up too tight for me, and I did plain sleeves rather than the patterned ones.
Oh and I made the buttons too!

What a beautiful cardigan – I really love those heart buttons and the trimming inside the neckline – perfect!

Thank you Pomona. While I’ve been making buttons a while it’s been the first time I’ve made a garment to put them on!
It’s a pretty pattern and lovely colour, but the finishing touches make it really special
Thank you Dot.
Very nice and lovely buttons. Also like the fabric on the inside. Nice touch.
